holy mother of turnout…

This essentially feels like a horror movie to me.. The sharp zoom, that unthinkable turnout… And she knows it’s good. Her hand is practically gesturing ‘bitch, my leg is marvelous’.

Dancer: Venus Villa

this pains me physically

THAT COMMENT ^ it is like a horror movie, i can just hear the sharp string music

this is legitimately scaring me right now *ineedsleep*

It’s important to be confident as an artist. SOLAR-CiTRUS shares what she has learned along the way to becoming more confident

solar-citrus:

I’ve received a lot of letters from artists asking to check out their artwork and their blog, and I’ve noticed that a lot of them openly write unhealthy amounts of negative comments about their artwork, it was super depressing, honestly.  :(
Confidence plays a very very important role as an artist, it’s what helps us learn and grow without the constant feeling of doubt and jealousy!  You are a unique individual who must go down your own unique path, and as scary as it sounds, you can’t rely on others to hold your hand all the way through.  You are the only one who can get yourself to where you need to go, and beating up your artwork is not the way!  Trust yourself and your abilities to make a change, and you can do anything!!

Love your art, love yourself!

Day 22 of #YogaPartyPeople: #Transition

Dolphin to chaturanga is my current favorite transition. It’s so fun! :D Then I did a jump from down dog to forward fold, which is pretty easy for me. Then I tried forward fold jump to chaturanga, which is a little rough for me. haha it’s a work in progress.

Open Hip Stretch

Sit on the floor with your legs in front of you.
Bend your knees so they are slightly wider than your shoulders. Plant your feet slightly wider than your knees, with your toes pointing out to the sides.
Lower your torso in between your knees, and place your hands on the floor. If you’re more flexible, place your forearms on the floor. Relax your shoulders away from your ears, and try not to let your feet slip away from your body.
Stay here for 30 seconds, and then sit up to release.
